Theatre Classes and Workshops
Encore Stage & Studio offers an exciting lineup of seasonal theatre classes for children in Pre‑K through Grade 8, designed to build confidence, creativity, empathy, and stage skills. Early learners embark on imaginative play, exploring basic theatre through storytelling, creative movement, and character exploration—an introduction to stage confidence and ensemble play.
From PreK to Grade 8 — classes organized by age, taught by working theater professionals, and designed to meet your child exactly where they are.
As kids grow, classes evolve in complexity:
Use voice, body, and imagination to craft characters
Engage in improvisation and develop new storylines
Build theatre literacy and collaborative performance skill

PreK (Ages 3-5)
Springtime Safari for PreK (Ages 3-5) - Spring
Pack your imagination and step into the wild. In Springtime Safari, our youngest performers journey through safari and jungle scenes filled with playful animals and exciting discoveries. Our little actors will stomp like elephants, slither like snakes, and soar like birds as they learn to use their voices, bodies, and big imaginations. Each class nurtures confidence, curiosity, and collaboration in a safe environment where stories come alive through pretend play and animal adventures.

Grades K–1 (Ages 5–7)
Be Our Guest A Disney Musical Theatre Class for Grades K-1 - Spring
In this Musical Theatre class, students in grades K–1 will sing, dance, and play their way through songs from beloved Disney Broadway musicals. Young performers will sing melodies that make them feel part of your world, and tell stories that prove it means no worries when you’re learning through play. Through music, creative movement, and beginner-friendly vocal activities, students will build confidence, coordination, and imagination while discovering that musical theatre is a whole new world of fun.

Broadway Junior Stars for Grades 2-4 - Spring
Ready to elevate your musical theatre skills to the next level? Join us and learn how to perform in a musical number! You will sing, dance and learn some amazingly fun lyrics from popular musicals! This class may be repeated, as each session covers new musical numbers and content.

Winter Saturday on Stage is a performance opportunity for Grades 3-5! The class culminates in a fully staged one act musical!
Take you acting skills to the next level with Saturday on Stage! Seussical Kids is a musical that takes us into the world of Dr. Seuss, with beloved characters including The Cat in The Hat, Horton the Elephant and more! Students bring to life the stories of friendship, loyalty and love. Develop your musical theatre skills in this 1.5-hour class culminating in a musical performance!

The Magic of Musicals for Grades 4-5 - Winter
Explore your favorite musicals and discover new shows in this high-energy class. Learn to interpret a song and dazzle your audience as you build confidence in your performance skills. This class may be repeated, as we’ll focus on new songs and scenes each session.

Tools of the Trade for Grades 6-8 - Winter
Sharpen your actors' tools in this skill-building class! Use your voice, your body, and your imagination to create new characters, improvise new storylines and design your setting. Build your skills on improv, playwriting and more! It's your Encore Era! This class may be repeated, as there are new content for each season.
