We want every child in the community to experience the power of the arts and arts education. No child ever has to pay to participate in our productions. We keep ticket prices affordable for families. We offer scholarships to all of our camps and classes.
As a nonprofit organization, Encore relies on the support of individuals, families, businesses, and other institutional donors to bring our programming to children and families in our community. Ticket sales only cover 30-40 percent of our production costs.

Holiday Campaign of Dreams
We make dreams come true when we bring engaging and hands-on theatre arts experiences to children and youth on stage, backstage and in the audience. Join us for the season of giving with a tax-deductible gift TODAY!
Artistic excellence & fostering theatre appreciation
We provide the first theatre experience for thousands with our affordable productions and inspire children as they see peers onstage and backstage. Our commitment to expanding the canon of children’s theatre with new works sets us apart, allowing students to bring new characters to life!
Learning & leading
Putting theatre into the hands of kids means expanded opportunities beyond cast and crew, including stage management, front of house, set and costume design, and more! Alumni are leading and living out their dreams in many fields–including theatre–thanks to their experiences with Encore.
Outreach & opportunity
We reach out to underserved kids by taking theatre out into our community and offering scholarships for our popular classes and camps. There are no participation fees to be part of the cast or crew for mainstage productions. Encore is a place for all to find an artistic home through safe creative opportunities to grow.

Created in honor of Encore's 50th anniversary, the 1967 Circle recognizes donors who support Encore annually at $1000 or more. We hope you'll join this group committed to reaching children across northern Virginia with theatre arts!

Our policy is that donations of stock are sold when they are received and we will recognize the value upon sale. Please consult with legal and tax advisors about tax implications and reporting value of donations to tax authorities.We ask that you notify us of a stock donation as donor names are not generally communicated from donor brokerage firms to our brokerage firm.
